Who is she?
I’m a Nigerian-American writer from Chicago with a background in fiction and museum education. I have a chapbook published through Sword and Kettle Press as well as two Pushcart Prize-nominated short stories.
Currently, I work as a copywriter with experience on high-revenue, B2B clients. I understand how to match brand tone and have experience with: brand identity + expression work, internal + external communications, short-form video scripts, social media posts, out-of-home advertising, and more.
Art, music, and nature have long been inspirations in all my writing, which is why I craft atmospheric environments through words. My work centers Black characters who are vulnerable and gentle, brave and scared, reckless and sad. They embody a range of emotions that makes them truly human.
The stories I write bathe the mundane with magic to show that a better world is possible.
