September, 2020 "Iron Tides Heavy on Our Tongues" 2020 Pushcart Prize-nominated short story. Igbo Landing is located at Dunbar Creek in St. Simons Island, Georgia. There, in 1803, about 75 enslaved Igbos (from what is now Nigeria) rebelled against their captors and grounded their ship on Georgia's shore. After, the chained group drowned themselves rather than endure the torture of slavery. This short story is a fictional retelling of the event. September, 2020 (excerpt) "In You I Dwelled. Now, I Swallow" Entry for HBO and The Root Lovecraft Country writing contest, For the Love of the Craft.
